Tyler Keith Duffey passed away in Oklahoma City on Friday morning, October 21, 2016, at the age of 22 years.
Tyler was born on October 17, 1994 in Joplin, Missouri, to James Keith Duffey and Kim Rae (Mitchell) Duffey. He spent his early years in Jasper, Missouri. Holdenville has been his home for the past twelve years, and he is a 2014 graduate of Holdenville High School.
Tyler has dealt with muscular dystrophy from birth, and has been confined to a wheelchair since he was nine years old. He never allowed his situation to limit his sense of humor, and he loved making people laugh. His favorite things were playing video games and watching television, especially "Supernatural". He loved to just hang out with friends. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Kim & Jason Grizzle; four sisters: Amber Duffey of Wetumka, Makayla Duffey, Bianca Grizzle, and Isabela Grizzle, all of Holdenville; five brothers: Donald Duffey, Caleb Duffey, Dakota Duffey, Zachary Grizzle, and Beau Grizzle, all of Holdenville; maternal grandparents, Rex & Betty Mitchell of Carthage MO; several aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many friends.
Graveside services were held and Tyler was laid to rest in the Yeager Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2016 with Rev. James Williams officiating. Pallbearers were Zachary Grizzle, Dakota Duffey, Donald Duffey, Bryce Bishop, Colby Ballard, Tyler Davis, Jerry Chapman, and Gary Mitchell.
