Timothy William 'Willy' Mires passed away in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of sixty-five years.

Willy is the son of Dale & Judith (Wolkie) Mires, born on August 11, 1959 in Long Beach, California. He married Ramie Brinsfield in Norwalk, California on December 1, 1984. They lived in various places in southern California until moving to Wewoka, Oklahoma, their home since 1999. After forty years together, he passed away two days after their wedding anniversary. He worked as a correctional officer at Davis Correctional Center in Holdenville until failing health forced him to retire in 2020. He loved to fish, play computer games, and spend time at casinos. He loved listening to music, particularly classic rock from the 1960s, 70s, and 80s.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale & Judith Mires; sister Dawn 'Sue' Williams, and brother David Werden; his beloved dog, Ringer.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ramey, of the home; daughter Mary Moore (Isaac) of Muskogee; four grandchildren: Sire Johnson, Honee Moore, Mar'Lee Moore, and Lily Moore; one sister, Diana Garner of Indiana; one sister-in-law, Paula Vallejo of Wewoka; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, 11:00am at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel in Holdenville, with Rev. Don Reed officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Vallejo, Eli Vallejo, Sire Johnson, and Sean Cross.
