Shelly Renee Yargee, 47, passed away in Tulsa, OK on Saturday January 20th, 2018 surrounded by her family after a 6 month battle with Leukemia.
Shelly is the daughter of David and Jensie Jimboy. She was born on May 25th, 1970 in Claremore, OK. She was raised in Holdenville and was baptized as a young teen at Many Springs Baptist Church. She graduated in 1989 at Holdenville Public Schools and then attended Haskell Indian Nations University for 2 years. She attended Wes Watkins Vo Tech and received a certificate for Medical Coding.
Shelly gave birth to her first daughter, Mahaya Yargee in 1994 and later moved to Ada where she began her employment with the Chickasaw Nation. In 2000, her second daughter, Alisha Yargee was born. Two years later, she relocated her family to Berryhill, OK. During this time, she worked in different capacities until she began her employment with the Muscogee Creek Nation Health Division as a Patient Benefit Coordinator.
Shelly became a Meme in 2010 when her first grandchild, Arianna Bell was born. She called her Meme's Nekeyz (Ne-ge-uh). In 2012, Meme's Chebon, Avan Yargee was born.
Shelly enjoyed coordinating events for both her family and fellow co-workers. She loved to garage sale, shop at flea markets, travel, spend time with family and friends, and spoil her grandchildren.
Shelly is preceded in death by two grandmothers, Evelyn McGirt and Helen Jimboy. She is survived by her boyfriend Jacob Alden of the home. Two daughters, Alisha Yargee, of the home and Mahaya Yargee of Jenks. Two grandchildren Arianna Bell and Avan Yargee also of Jenks. Parents David and Jensie Jimboy of Holdenville. Sister Rondella Clay and Fiancé Christian Ramon of Holdenville, Angienette Nunnally of Holdenville. Brothers David Jimboy Jr. (Bonny) of Spokane, WA, and James Jimboy (Spooky) of Glenpool and numerous nieces and nephews. Shelly also had a best friend since childhood, Lora Reuben from Idaho. Another good friend is Penny Alden who helped the family out by transporting Shelly to and from Doctors appointments.
Wake service for Shelly was held at Fisher Funeral Home in Holdenville at 6pm Tuesday January 23rd. Wednesday January 24th at 10am she was taken to Many Springs Baptist Church. Her funeral was held at 2pm with Reverend Jimmy Anderson and Reverend Frank Moppin officiating. Pall bearers were David Jimboy Jr. (Bonny), James Jimboy (Spooky), TJ Jesse, Bo Jesse, Katcv Larney, Jacob Alden, and Nick McFIrt. Honorary Pall Bearers were Christian Ramon, Brent Clay, Chris McGirt, Jimbob McCosar, Richard Lowe, and Jeremy Neconish. Flower girls were the ladies of Many Springs Baptist Church. Shelly was laid to rest at Wewoka Methodist Church in Yeager, OK.
