Sarah Ann Trammell passed away at her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the age of 79 years.

Sarah is the daughter of Eldon Alvin Henson & Jeanette Augusta (Bear) Henson. She was born on December 20, 1946, in Hugo, Oklahoma, and was brought up living with her family all over the state. They lived in Holdenville when Sarah was a teenager, and she graduated Holdenville High School with the Class of 1965. She was married just before graduation to Leroy ‘Pete’ Trammell, on January 27, 1965, in Wewoka. They made their home in Holdenville where they were blessed with two daughters and 53 years together before Pete’s passing on October 9, 2018. Sarah was an elegant lady, artistic and creative. She attended Seminole Junior College, Charles Moore School of Cosmetology, and studied flower design at Oklahoma Master Floral Design School. She worked for several years as a hairdresser, and floral designer. Some of her favorite things were crafts, sewing, needlework, gardening, and cooking. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Holdenville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eldon & Jeanette Henson; her husband of 53 years, Pete Trammell; her grandson, Jacob Hall; her brother, Jim Henson.

She is survived by two daughters, Valisha Gray (Robert) of Ada, and Jeanna Woolard (Roy) of Holdenville; six grandchildren: Bryce Wardlow and fiancé Robin Wooten of Holdenville, Bethany Farrar (Dustin) of Rio Vista TX, Walker Woolard of Holdenville, Emily Bendure (Jude) of Oklahoma City, Lauren Peters of Seminole, and Hollie Jaggers of Holdenville; thirteen great-grandchildren: Blake, Maverick, Wesson Pete, Zane, Zoie, Zaylie, Zaybrie, Braylee, Baylor, Langston, Landrie, Bo and Mayli; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 2, 2026, 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Holdenville, and Sarah will be laid to rest at Holdenville Cemetery. Rev. Abraham Gomez is the officiating minister. Pallbearers are Bryce Wardlow, Walker Woolard, Dustin Farrar, Roy Woolard, Zane Peters, and Jude Bendure.

Viewing at the funeral home will be Thursday, October 1, 10am-7pm.
