Samuel Franklin "Sam" Harkey passed from this life at his home on Friday, June 24, 2016, at the age of 80 years. He was the son of Samuel Wilson Harkey and Maurine (Evans) Harkey, born on February 25, 1936, in Holdenville, Ok. Sam was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville. He served his country in the US Navy. After his honorable discharge he became a truck driver, which was his life long occupation. He loved to garden, and he loved his dogs.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel W. and Maurine Harkey. He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel P. & Katrina Harkey and Brett & Elise Harkey; four grandchildren: Austin Harkey, Maitlyn Harkey, Elspeth Harkey, and Amelia Harkey; one brother, Joe Harkey.

There will be no funeral services.
