Sallee Fern LaFave passed away at her home in Allen, Oklahoma on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the age of 49 years.

Sallee was the daughter of Rolland & Martha (Hinson) LaFave, born on December 15, 1969, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was brought up in Sun Valley, North Carolina, where she grew up and graduated high school. She earned a Master's Degree in Science Microbiology and became a Physician Assistant. She moved to Allen, Oklahoma in 2012, and was employed at Allen Medical Clinic. She was married to Thomas Melton on April 10, 2016, in Allen.

Sallee enjoyed sewing in her spare time, but her greatest enjoyment and most of her time was dedicated to her chosen profession. She loved caring for her patients at the clinic, and still happily made house calls. She was devoted to her husband, family, friends, and her medical profession.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Melton, of the home; her daughter, Laura LaFave, of Myrtle Beach SC; her mother, Matha LaFave of Myrtle Beach SC, and her father, Rolland LaFave of Holdenbeach SC; her brother, Louis LaFave of Indian Trail NC; other family members and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Allen United Methodist Church, 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019. Services are under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Holdenville. www.fisherfh.net
