Ronnie Lee Key passed away at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the age of 53 years.
Ronnie was the son of Harold Wayne Key Sr. & Kathryn (Hart) Key, born on August 6, 1964, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville and in Connerville. He married Marlene Lynette Moore in Holdenville on January 23, 1983. He lived nearly all his adult life in Holdenville, working in the community as a mechanic and welder. He enjoyed his work, and loved to piddle around in his shop when he wasn't busy. His favorite thing was working on and riding dune buggies.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Fritz; one brother, Wayne Key, and one sister, Joanna Allison.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Marlene, of the home; three children: Amanda Key-Pierce (Sam) of Ada, Rodney Key of Holdenville, and Daniel Key (Anna) of Allen; four grandchildren: Kadence Harmon, Jaxson Pierce, Sammy Pierce, and Averie Elaine Key; his father, Harold Wayne Key Sr.; three brothers: Larry Key of Oklahoma City, Roy Key (Marla) of Ada, Billy Joe Key of Shawnee; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 1, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Barnard Memorial United Methodist Church in Holdenville, and Ronnie was laid to rest at Atwood Cemetery, witih Rev. Brad Burton officiating. Pallbearers were Billy Jack Byerly, Gerry Poe, Daniel Key, Joshua Key, Devon Key, and Cody Key. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Winn, Joe Ellis, and Carl Lambert.
