Ronnie Elva Upton passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 48 years.
Ronnie was the son of John Upton & Hazel (Tisdell) Upton, born on February 28, 1965, in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville, graduating Holdenville High School in 1983.
He moved to Bakersfield, California after graduation, and lived there for ten years before returning to Oklahoma. He moved back and forth between Holdenville and the Oklahoma City area for several years, and had lived in Oklahoma City for the past nine years, where he worked in construction of swimming pools.
Ronnie liked to work and enjoyed his job. He liked working on cars, and building and repairing things. He loved jokes and enjoyed making people laugh. He will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, John Upton; one niece, Alicia Chapman.
He is survived by his mother, Hazel Upton, of the home; one brother, Ricky Upton and wife Sue, of Holdenville, and two sisters, Debbie Bowen and husband Danny, of Holdenville, and Donna Upton of Oklahoma City; three nieces: Dusti Dennie, Kristina Bowen, Katelin Bowen, and three nephews: Dylan Upton, Justin Upton, and Clayton Upton; one great niece, Tresley, and one great nephew, Tristan; various other relatives and many friends, including four special friends: Kim Sullivan of Wewoka, Scott Morgan and Danny Golden, both of Oklahoma City, and Terry Reid of Holdenville; and one other faithful friend, his dog, Missy.
Memorial services will be Friday, October 11, 2013, 3:30 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, with Rev. Roger McElroy officiating.
