Ronald Lynn 'Ronnie' Nickell passed away in Oklahoma City on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at the age of 69 years.

Ronnie was the son of Freddie B. Nickell & Joy D. (Johnson) Nickell, born on December 30, 1952, in San Pedro, California. He was brought up in Allen, Oklahoma, and graduated Allen High School with the Class of 1971. He worked for several years in the oil field and then as a licensed heat/air technician and electrician, until failing health forced him to retire. He enjoyed barbeques and hanging out with his buddies, and some of his favorite things were fishing, woodworking, and crafts. He was a lifelong resident of Allen.

He is survived by two sons, Shane Nickell and Derrick Nickell, both of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Rachel Jones of Ada and Tika Nickell of Lawton; six grandchildren; his mother, Joy Nickell, of Allen; two brothers, Brian Nickell and Jerry Nickell, both of Allen, and sister Peggy Brown of Kalihoma; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

The family hosted a Celebration of Life luncheon in their home at 300 North County Line Road in Allen on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 1:00pm.
