Robert Marshal "Marty" Kalinich passed away in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at the age of 63 years. He was born on February 15, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to the late George Robert "Rock" Kalinich and Johnnie Mae (Bruner) Kalinich.  He attended Holdenville public elementary schools and then went to Eufaula Boarding school and Sequoyah High School.  Marty enjoyed all kinds of sports but he loved OU football and OU basketball best.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.  He had a special and unique relationship with all of his siblings and all of his nieces and nephews. Marty was truly loved by all and he will truly be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George 'Rock' & Johnnie Mae Kalinich, and an infant brother.

He is survived by his long time companion Sandy Nason, her children Ashley Black of Shawnee, Jessica Nason, Kyle Nason of Wewoka, Eagle Pigeon of Wewoka,  Lyrick Pigeon of Seminole, and Cyann Pigeon of the home.  His grandchildren Chaiyah Taylor, Coya (Boo) Harjo, Dante' Nason, Virgil Nason, and Ava Brown. He is survived by his brothers, Mecko Kalinich of Seminole, Tommy Kalinich of Wewoka, his sisters, Nanette Harjo of Holdenville, Maryann Washington of Seminole, Lisa Kalinich of Holdenville.

A wake service will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Many Springs Baptist Church in Holdenville.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 30, 2022, at Many Springs Baptist Church in Holdenville. Rev. Jimmy Anderson and Rev. Frank Moppin officiated the service. Pallbearers were all of Marty's nephews: Sterlin Harjo, Keith Kalinich, Jr., Christopher Kalinich, Michael Kalinich, Rocky Beau Harjo, Preston Kalinich, Caleb Deer, Chazlynn Kalinich, Bronnson Tre' Harjo, Kolby Robinson, Kenan Loggins and Nicholas Kalinich.
