Robert Linn Cole passed away at his home in Oklahoma City on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the age of 67 years.
Robert was the son of Robert Bennett Cole & Bertha Alene (Bottoms) Cole, born on March 7, 1950, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville, and was a 1968 graduate of Holdenville High School. He joined the U.S. Army and served two years, then returned to Holdenville to help out his family. He married Melba Adams and they had one son, Robert Kameron Cole.
Robert moved to Oklahoma City as a young man, and lived there all his adult life. He worked in car sales for many years, at various Oklahoma City dealerships. He loved telling jokes and making people laugh, and in his spare time he very much enjoyed fishing. He loved home cooking, and his favorite thing of all was when the family got together for a big, home-cooked meal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Alene Cole; two brothers, Franklin Earl Cole and Larry Dean Cole, and two sisters, Betty Walton and Shirley Sutterfield.
He is survived by one son, Robert Kameron Cole of Tulsa; two grandsons; two sisters, Emma Barth of Fairbanks AK and Donna Gaines of Seminole; nieces and nephews: Sherry Lynch (Jim) of Fairbanks AK, Heather Barth (Michael Brown) and their daughter, Evie Kathryn Brown, of Anchorage AK, Mindy Smith (Travis) of Seminole, Marshall Gaines of Wewoka, Stella Hinkson (Julio) of Texas, Chuck Sutterfield of Florida, Steve Walton (Doyetta) of Hooker, and James 'Cudge' Walton (Gail) of Oklahoma City; other family members and many friends.
Memorial services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, with Rev. Dane Robinson officiating.
