May 6, 1928 – May 18, 2017

Retha Grace (Jackson) Giles passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the age of 89 at Heritage Village Nursing Center in Holdenville. She was born on May 6, 1928 to Burnie and Clara (Rowe) Jackson in Stuart, Oklahoma.

She attended schools at Hilltop and Calvin, graduating from Calvin High School in 1945. Following graduation, she moved to Holdenville and was employed at the Keystone Hotel and worked many years at P&S Hospital as a chart clerk. She married Robert "Bob" Giles on December 2, 1950. She loved to crochet, read, work word search puzzles and was a big Oklahoma City Thunder fan.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob in 1997; brother, Roy Jackson; sister, Johnnie Bottoms; brother in law, Ray Joiner; sister in law, Sharon Giles and granddaughter, Shannon Nicole Giles in 2010.

She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Giles and Tammi Giles, both of Holdenville; son, Rick Giles and wife, Paula, Bethel Acres; grandchildren: Stephen Giles and girlfriend, Megan Fariss, Holdenville, Christopher Giles, Tecumseh, Casey Giles and wife, Amber, Shawnee and Lauren Giles Brown and husband, Brian, Bethel Acres; great grandchildren: Treyton Powell, Kanen Powell, Braydon Powell, Phoenyx Powell, Aiden Giles, Blakely Giles, Brantley Brown, Stetson Giles and Kennedy Giles; two sisters, Nowasa Joiner, Holdenville and Wilma Bullard and husband, Bill of Norman; brother, E.J. Jackson and wife, Pat of Choctaw; two brothers in law, Tom Giles of Jenks and Leon Bottoms of Moore and many other nieces, nephews and other friends and family.

Funeral services were held at the Holdenville Cemetery Chapel at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017 with Dane Robinson and Bill Robinson officiating. Burial was at the Holdenville Cemetery following services.
