Obituary

Raymond Floyd 'Ray' McCullar Jr. passed away in Seminole, Oklahoma on Monday, October 5, 2020, at the age of 67 years.
Ray was the son of Raymond F. McCullar Sr. & Mildred (Bonham) McCullar, born on October 17, 1952, in Atoka, Oklahoma. He was brought up traveling all across the U.S. following various harvests with his parents. He returned to Oklahoma and lived in Ada and Oklahoma City before moving to Antlers, where he met Veda Dickinson on June 3, 1990. From that time, the two of them have been lifelong soulmates, living in various parts of Oklahoma until settling in Wewoka, their home since 2003. Ray was a working man all his life, a "jack of all trades" who would tackle any job that needed to be done, including tree work and remodeling homes. He was a gifted mechanic, whether hydraulic, small engine, or automotive, he could fix anything. Some of his favorite things were fishing, eating, and watching TV, especially old Westerns.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Mildred McCullar; brother George McCullar; his daughter, Barbara House; two grandsons, Zackary McCullar and Dustin House; stepson Jason Dickinson.
He is survived by his companion of thirty years, Veda Dickinson, of the home; three children: Andrea Rose McCullar of Oklahoma City, Stacy Willis (Larry House) of Wewoka, and Raymond F. 'Chuck' McCullar III; twenty grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; five stepchildren whom he regarded as his own: Virginia Daley of Holdenville, Dosha House of Wewoka, Teena Mackey of Honey Grove TX, Curistie McGuire of Antlers, and Jimmie Daley of Wewoka; eighteen step grandchildren and eighteen step great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary McCullar and Joanie Stowe, and two brothers, Jerry McCullar and Everett McCullar, all of Antlers; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 8, 2020, 1:30 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, and Ray was laid to rest at Tate Mountain Cemetery south of Wewoka, with David Kaylor officiating. Pallbearers were Justin Coles, Jake Carney, Alex Dickinson, Justin House, Billy Barnhill, and David Brewer.
