Obituary

Quinton Dale Ladd passed away in Holdenville on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at the age of 50 years. He was born February 18, 1962, in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Eugenia Ladd and Buford Croney. Quinton was preceded in death by his father, Buford Dale Croney; his grandmother, Ruby Ladd; granddaughter Ashlyn Netzel and grandson Justin Netzel; three uncles: Norvel Dale Ladd, James Albert Ladd, and Gary Lynn Ladd; cousin Jay Morgan.

He is survived by four children: Julie Netzel and husband Phillip, Jessica Cellars and husband Steven, Kirsten Ladd, and Katelyn Ladd, all of Holdenville; three stepchildren: Ashley Opitz of Tulsa, McKayla Wakefield and Stephen Wakefield, both of Holdenville; five grandchildren: Joshua Netzel, Allison Cellars, Alexander Cellars, Taven Wakefield, and Dalona Wakefield; his mother, Eugenia Ladd, of Holdenville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa & Tim Grooms of Tulsa, Sherry & Charles Cashman of Prague, and Marian & Clay Klutts; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny & Shelia Croney; one uncle, Dennis Ladd of Holdenville; one niece, Emily Grooms, and four nephews: Colton Grooms, Austin Magness, David Croney, and Alan Croney; special friends: Kay Wakefield, Alisha Stapp, Adam Stapp, Will Stafford, Ronald Stafford, Nathan Martin, Daryl Osburn, and Valerie Osburn; numerous other nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Quinton was brought up and attended schools in the Weleetka area before moving to Holdenville, where he spent most of his life working as a mechanic and farm & ranch hand. He loved being with his girls, and driving his truck fast. He loved spending time with his family, especially fishing and camping together. He is gone from us too soon, and he will be missed.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel in Holdenville, with Rev. Jay Badry officiating. Quinton was laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery at Fairview, Oklahoma.
