Phyllis LaDonna Ramsey passed away in Holdenville on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at the age of 72 years.
Phyllis was the daughter of Pershing Si Wardlow & Kathryn Rose (Hardwick) Wardlow, born on February 3, 1943, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where she was brought up, attended schools, and lived all her life.
Phyllis graduated Holdenville High School in 1961. She was married in 1963 to Gary Price and they were blessed with one daughter, Dana. Phyllis was later married to Russell Ramsey on November 24, 1978, in Sherman, Texas. She worked in the medical field, in various clinics and hospitals, and more than ten years for the Hughes County Health Department. She retired in 2005. She loved to travel, especially to Fanfare in Tennessee. She loved to cook, and she loved to baby her dogs.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Pershing & Kathryn Wardlow; her husband Russell, in 2004; her brother, Richard Wardlow, and her sister, Jonita Wardlow.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana Bowen (Raymond Coppock) of Holdenville; granddaughter Rachel Bible of Holdenville and grandson Brandon Ramey of Edmond; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip & DeEtta Wardlow and James & Mary Wardlow, all of Holdenville; one sister and brother-in-law, Susan & Jake Curry of Seminole; sister-in-law Odilee Lee of Holdenville and brother-in-law H. A. Ramsey of Owasso; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Memorial services were held on Thursday, May 14, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, with Rev. Dane Robinson officiating.
