Phillip Wayne Luna Sr. passed away in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the age of 72 years.

Phillip was the son of Leroy & Frankie (Holliman) Luna, born on August 15, 1949, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where he was brought up and attended schools. Instead of graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Army at age 17 and served for seventeen years in Vietnam. When he returned from military service, he worked as a ranch hand caring for horses. He served as a police officer with his dad, worked for twenty years as a security guard, and retired in 1996 due to failing health. He married Robin Coley on December 4, 1992, in Del City, Oklahoma, and they've made their home since that time in Midwest City. Some of Phillip's favorite things were casinos and gambling, fishing, hunting, sitting outside and going for walks in the evening.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy & Frankie Luna; his son, Phillips Luna Jr., in 2004; brother Marvin Ray 'Rocky' Luna, and sister Glenda Faye (Luna) Garber.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Robin Luna, of the home; two children: daughter Christy Lynn Miller (Marcus) of Yukon, and son David Edward Coffman of Midwest City; four grandchildren: Jazmine Miller, Anna Coffman, Keyloine Miller, and Brooklyn Luna; two great grandchildren: Michael Raynes and Cece Martin; sister Ronda Gail Branch of Fort Worth TX; uncle Gene Holliman (Donna) of Holdenville, and aunt JoAnn Sterling of Midwest City; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Memorial services with military honors were held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home - Lillye Chapel, with Mr. Gene Holliman officiating.
