Philip Don Wardlow passed away at his home in Holdenville on Saturday morning, January 1, 2022, at the age of 80 years.

Philip was the son of Pershing & Kathryn (Hardwick) Wardlow, born on November 12, 1941 in Hughes County, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville, and graduated Holdenville High School with the Class of 1958. He married DeEtta Grizzle on May26, 1962, and they've made their home ever since in the Holdenville area. Philip worked as Captain in the Holdenville Police Department for five years, and for sixteen years as Holdenville Street Commissioner, where his numerous responsibilities included street and sidewalk improvements and the set-up and maintenance of Christmas lights at Stroup Park. His favorite job was driving a van for KI BOIS Area Transit System (KATS), he always said they were a great group to work for and with. He enjoyed playing royal reels, mowing the yard, watching people from his front porch, and just being with family. Our husband, father, and grandfather will be forever missed, and has left a large hole in our family and hearts.

Philip is preceded in death by his parents, Pershing Wardlow and Kathryn Wardlow Morris; brother Richard 'Dickie' Wardlow, and two sisters, JoNita and Phyllis.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, DeEtta, of the home; three sons and spouses: Chris & Kay Lynn Wardow, Keith & Angelia Wardlow, and John & Jenny Wardlow; one daughter, Rayelene Winters & Gary Skeen; ten grandchildren: Bryce, Bethany, Garrett, Morgan, special little partner Brayden, Raegan, Emma, Brionna, Aspen, and Garrett; ten great grandchildren: Blake, Raden, Riley Kate, Maverick, Wesson, Wyatt, Stryker, Rylee Grace, Landon, and Zayden; one brother and sister-in-law, James & Mary Wardlow, and one sister and brother-in-law, Susan & Jake Curry; one aunt, Wilene Barnes; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel and Philip was laid to rest at Glory Cemetery in Holdenville, with Rev. Dane Robinson officiating.
