Peggy Jean Wilson passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Monday, December 26, 2011 at the age of 67 years.
Peggy was the daughter of Rayburn Cowell & Erie Lizzie (Rayburn) Cowell, born on July 18, 1944 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was brought up and lived her entire in Oklahoma, attending schools in Elk City and later living for a while in Enid, McALester, Holdenville, Cromwell, Noble and Seminole before making her home for the past three years in Locust Grove.
Peggy worked in Holdenville for several years as a seamstress at Seamprufe. She loved scrapbooking and gardening, and miniature horses. She loved her family most of all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rayburn & Erie Cowell; one granddaughter, Corrie Couffer; two brothers, Johnny Cowell and Billy Cowell, and one sister, Faye Woolsey.
She is survived by one son, Arvel Couffer of Holdenville, and one daughter, Sondra Sevenstar of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Rachel Hanks, Kyle Couffer, Hannah Couffer, Anthony Couffer, Brent McGee and Brendon Sevenstar; seven great grandchildren: Trisitie Maynard, Jeffrey Mooney, Chloe Couffer, Corrie Hanks, Kendelle Couffer and Kadden Couffer, and Serenity Couffer; one sister, Mary Jane Hilliard of Sulphur, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 31, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, with Rev. Ray Breeden officiating.
