Pauline Leach passed away at Holdenville General Hospital on Friday, June 24, 2011, at the age of 82.
Pauline was the daughter of Bill Roundtree & Sadie (Thurman) Roundtree, born on November 15, 1928 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where she was brought up and attended schools. She was married to Clarence H. Venable in 1944. They moved in the late 1940s to Madeira, California, where Pauline lived until returning to Holdenville in 1978.
Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, devoted to her family. She like to sew, knit and crochet, and enjoyed going to garage sales. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Sadie Roundtree; one son, Elton Ray Venable in 1968; one sister, Mamie Lay.
She is survived by two children, Jackie Venable and Donna Venable, both of Holdenville; six grandchildren: David Wayne Morgan and wife Lisa, Johnny Ray Venable and wife Tammy, Buster Leon Venable and wife Pam, Everett Maynard and wife Kim, all of Holdenville, Bobby Maynard and wife Rose, Mark Maynard and wife Cass, all of West Columbia, Texas; fourteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one brother, Grady Roundtree and wife Linda, of Sasakwa; three sisters: Lillie Benfer and Linda Roundtree, both of California, and Judy Davis of Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Graveside services will be held and Pauline will be laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery on Monday, June 27, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Holdenville Cemetery, with Rev. Earl Scroggins officiating.
