Obituary

Pauline Jacobs passed away at Holdenville General Hospital on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at the age of 78 years.

Pauline was the daughter of Jess & Daisy Smith, born on September 20, 1933, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where she was brought up and attended schools. With the exception of a brief period of time spent in Texas, Pauline made Holdenville her home for her entire life.

She was married to Jack Walton Jacobs on January 19, 1954 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Mr. Jacobs passed away on September 10, 1994.

She graduated nursing school and became an LPN in 1969. She worked for Boyce Manor Nursing Home in Holdenville for more than 20 years, and the Wetumka Nursing Home for 13 years, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed reading and playing 'Farmville' on her computer. She loved her dogs, Prissy and Dink. She loved and enjoyed her family more than anything, but her grandkids were the love of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess & Daisy Smith; her beloved husband of 40 years, Jack Walton Jacobs; one sister, Margaret Bridges, and one brother, Jess Smith, Jr.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Paula & Larry Pickett of Holdenville; one son, Bill Jacobs, also of Holdenville; seven grandchildren: Toby Walton Pickett of Holdenville, Paulette Fulks and husband Jeff of Guthrie, Jeremy Jacobs of Dayton, Ohio, Tera Williams and husband Anthony of Brandon, Florida, Casey Stamper and husband David of Dayton, Ohio, Jessica Jacobs and Misty Jacobs, both of Branson, Missouri; four great-grandchildren: Mallory, Kyle, Austyn and Kaitlyn; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held and Pauline will be laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery on Saturday, October 15, 2011, 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Mona Fulks officiating.
