King

Nomah Katherine King passed away in Oklahoma City on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the age of 77 years.
Nomah was the daughter of John Lucas Cole & Vinnie Jewel (Wadsworth) Cole, born on January 20, 1945, in Tehachapi, California, where she spent fifty-eight years of her life. She graduated Tehachapi High School in 1962, and was married to Robert Edward King in Tehachapi on November 19, 1962. Robert worked as a heavy equipment operator while Nomah cooked for the Tehachapi Hospital and for many years owned and operated a record store. Nomah loved raising a big garden and always grew the best raspberries and strawberries. After they retired and moved in 2003 to Atwood, Oklahoma, Nomah loved flower gardening, especially roses. She enjoyed sewing and watching TV. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luke & Vinnie Cole; her beloved husband of 51 years, Robert King, on March 24, 2014; her son, Darrin Leroy King, on December 29, 2006.
She is survived by one son, Bobby King (Josephine) of Tishomingo OK; three grandsons: Shelby King (Amanda) of San Antonio TX, Trenton King (Nicole) of San Diego CA, and Anthony King (Brittany) of Yukon OK; two granddaughters, Tiffany Gaffney (Joseph) of Manhattan NY and Korrin King of Queen Creek AZ; three great grandchildren: Avery King, Arianna King, and Wyatt King; various other family members and many friends.
Keith Warren officiated graveside services at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, and Nomah was laid to rest at Atwood Cemetery.
