Obituary

Molly Mae Brown passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Golden Rule Nursing Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 80 years.

Molly was the daughter of Joe & Polly (Tebe) Brown, born on April 10, 1932, in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in the Rocky Point community near Sasakwa. As a young adult, she moved with her family to the Brown homeplace north of Holdenville, which remained her lifelong home.

Molly worked as a clothing inspector for Big Yank in Wewoka, retiring after 21 years.She was a member and a Women''s Leader at Salt Creek United Methodist Church. She loved to sew and do word-find puzzles, and she was an excellent cook.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe & Polly Brown; one son, Willie Chupco; one sister, Josephine Brown, and one brother, Buster Brown.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Melinda Chupco, of the home; one great grandson, Randall Allen of Holdenville; three sisters: Wisey Brown and Tootsie Brown, both of the home, and Ruth Brown of Oklahoma City; one brother, Larry Brown and wife Doris, of Holdenville; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were Thursday, July 26, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Salt Creek United Methodist Church, and Molly was laid to rest in the Brown Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Louis McGeeley Jr, Tommy Taylor, Roley Johnson, Brandon McKinney, Scott Babb, and Chuck Hulbutta.
Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Factor, Doug Scott, Paul Fixico, and Wayne McGeeley.
