Minnie Sue Yahola passed away at her home in Wewoka on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the age of 40 years.
Minnie was the daughter of Amos Jackson Yahola Sr. & Linda (Jacobs) Harjo, born on December 6, 1977, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was brought up in Colorado through her early childhood, until the family moved back to Holdenville when Minnie was a teenager. She attended Holdenville schools, and later earned her GED. She was baptized on July 17, 2011, at Harvest Time Tabernacle in Holdenville. She lived for a while in the Kenwood area, and has made her home in the Holdenville area for the past several years.
Minnie loved doing beadwork, watch movies, and listen to music. She was always smiling, always seeing the good side and the humor in every situation.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Makayla Yahola; her father, Amos Yahola Sr.; her brother, Amos Yahola Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony 'Chip' Harjo of Wewoka; six children: Manaynie O'Field, Sarah O'Field, Maleah O'Field, Samantha O'Field, all of Kenwood, Michael Harjo, and Mariah Harjo, both of Bowlegs; her mother, Linda Harjo, of Holdenville; six siblings: Joseph Yahola Sr. of Holdenville, Frank Yahola of Sapulpa, Susie Yahola of Holdenville, Kerry Yahola of Oklahoma City, Terry Yahola of Bullhead City AZ, and Melinda Yahola of Bristow; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, with Rev. Wallace Gambler and Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating. Minnie was laid to rest at Yeager Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Alexander, Tim Wind, Allen Yahola, Richmond Tiger, Russell Jacobs, Johnny Jacobs, and Jack Nuckols. Gary Hope served as honorary pallbearer.
