Mildred Lee 'Millie' Underwood passed away in Oklahoma City on Monday evening, March 25, 2013, at the age of 80 years.
Millie was the daughter of Madison Davis & Frances (Holder) Davis, born on September 20, 1932, in King, Arkansas. She was brought up in Oklahoma City and in Prague, where she attended schools. She lived in Shawnee for many years. She was married to John Underwood and they made their home in Prague. Mr. Underwood preceded her in death in 1989.
Millie returned to Holdenville in 2006. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Holdenville. She loved going to church, and regarded her friends there as family. She enjoyed crafts, fishing, and shopping.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Underwood; one daughter, Donna Blaylock Norton; two sisters, Velma Smith and Laverne Willis.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Betty & Frank Sexton of Oklahoma City; her daughter, Sandy Myers of Konawa; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 28, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at the Holdenville First Assembly of God Church, and Millie will be laid to rest in the Lamar Cemetery. Rev. Stan Ledford is the officiating minister. Pallbearers are Ray Birdwell, Kenny Storts, David Roark, Michael Sexton, Gary Brinlee, and Jerry Hardwick.
