Michael Ray Isham passed away in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the age of fifty-four years.
Michael, known to family and friends as 'Frizz', was the son of Clarence & Christine (Davis) Isham, born on November 9, 1960, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Oklahoma City. He was baptized as a young teenager at Little Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. He moved to Lamar in 1978 and worked as a laborer, mostly in lawn care. He loved sports, football in particular, and was an avid Sooner fan. For the past 37 years, he has made his home in the Lamar / Holdenville area.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Isham, his mother, Christine Isham Wolfe, and his stepfather, Billy Wolfe; brother Bobby Isham; three uncles: Frank Davis, Merle Davis, and Leo King.
He is survived by his daughter, Kandice Buck of Holdenville; four brothers and three sisters: Theodore Isham (Debra) of Oklahoma City, Glen Isham (Penny) of Holdenville, Jerome Isham of Tulsa, Susan Isham and David Isham, both of Lamar, Arlene Isham (Joe McHenry) of Okmulgee, and Lucy Wolfe of Holdenville; three half sisters and four half brothers, all of Wisconsin; two aunts, Sue Ann Davis of Lamar and Bea Belille of Chicago, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 20, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, and Frizz will be laid to rest in the Lamar Cemetery. Rev. Frank Moppin will officiate. Pallbearers are Danny Powell, Paul Faxon, Timothy Fields, Clay Dorsey, Johnny Robinson, and Gary Henson. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Fiestel, Jim Fields, Tommy Kalinich, Joseph 'Spodie' Yahola.
Wake service will be Friday, 7:00 p.m. at Lillye Chapel.
