Michael Lloyd Canada passed away at his home in Holdenville on Friday, September 4, 2015, at the age of 63 years.
Michael was the son of Roy Wilbur Canada & Betty Eilene (Parkinson) Canada, born on January 6, 1952, in Peoria, Illinois. The family moved when Michael was a young boy to Reseda, California, where he was brought up and attended schools. He joined the U.S. Army and served two years in Vietnam, then returned to California.
Michael married Sandy Smith on February 9, 1980, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved to Holdenville in 1983, and lived there until returning to California in 2000 to take care of his parents. They returned to live in Holdenville in January of 2015. Michael worked as a carpenter most of his life. His favorite things were woodworking, fishing, and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Betty Canada, and his brother, Clyde Leroy Canada, who died in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy, of the home; his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa & Douglas Robinson and their children, Michael Robinson, Emilee Robinson, Haylee Robinson, and Liam Robinson, all of Tampa, Florida; various other family members, and many friends.
No funeral services are planned.
