Michael Bridges passed away in Holdenville on Wednesday morning, March 7, 2018, at the age of 61 years.

Michael was the son of Bobby Gene Bridges & Elizabeth (Stubblefield) Bridges, born on March 29, 1957, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was brought up in Holdenville, and attended Moss Schools. He served in the U.S. Army.

Michael made his home for his entire adult life in the Holdenville and Sulphur areas. He worked as a handy man. Some of his favorite things were riding motorcycles, messing around in his yard, looking around flea markets, and watching Westerns on television. He also enjoyed fighting with his brother.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Bridges and Elizabeth Bridges Cochran, and stepfather Bill Cochran; one uncle, Thomas Stubblefield, and two aunts, Patricia Adair and Wanda Booher.

He is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Jo Hubbell, of the home; four fur babies: Tuffy, Oreo, Pixy, and Amos; one son, Patrick Harris (Jennifer) of Holdenville, and two daughters, Ki'Ra Bridges (Ricky) of Holdenville and Elizabeth Bridges of Noble; one brother, Steve Bridges (Linda) of Yeager; one niece, Stephanie Cornell (Dennis), also of Yeager, and one nephew, Johnny Bridges (Jason) of Chickasha; nine grandchildren: Jasper Harris, Hunter Bridges, Augustina Bridges, Madline Kramer, Jeremiah, Sieve, Kagen, Aona, Breliee; great niece Chyenne Bridges, and great nephews Leland Cornell and Jayden Cornell, all of Yeager; numerous other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services were held and Michael was laid to rest at Yeager Cemetery on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Tony Wulf officiating. Pallbearers were Ricky Stone, Hunter Bridges, Johnny Bridges, Joe Osborne, Dennis Cornell, and Richard Winn. Grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.
