Obituary

Mavin Anne Chupco passed away at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at the age of 72 years.

Mavin was the daughter of Marvin & Alma (Hartman) Beck, born on January 20, 1940, in Enid, Oklahoma. She was brought up in Enid and in Prescott, Kansas and was a graduate of Prescott High School. She lived for several years in Illinois, and moved to Oklahoma in 1976. She was married to James Leroy Chupco in Holdenville, Oklahoma on February 8, 1988. After a brief time in Fort Smith, Arkansas and Shawnee, Oklahoma, they lived in Holdenville for several years before moving to the Chupco family homestead north of Yeager.

Mavin was artistic and creative; she enjoyed drawing and painting, and was a very accomplished seamstress. She loved going to church. She loved travel and camping, and enjoyed fishing enough to purchase a lifetime license.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin & Alma Beck, and one grandson, Austin Charles Leon Turner.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, James, of the home; three children: Becky Bumpus and husband Lonnie, of Lampe, Missouri, Jerry Turner of Florida, and Thomas Lee Turner of Holdenville; eight grandchildren: Michael Coffman, Julie Coffman, Jeremy Turner, all of Flordia, Marvin Turner of Golden, Missouri, Connor Turner and Cameron Turner of Seminole, Oklahoma, Thomas Turner Jr. and Mavin Anne Beck Turner, both of Holdenville; several great grandchildren; one brother, Orval Beck and wife Phyllis, of Wichita, Kansas; numerous other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012, and Mavin will be laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery.

Rev. Malcolm Tiger is the officiating minister.

Pallbearers are Thomas Turner Sr., Jerry Turner, Becky Bumpus, Lonnie Bumpus, Mike Goodman, and Marvin Turner.

Honorary pallbearers are William Chesser, Lewis Palmer, Michael Palmer, and Jaclyn Goodman.
