Mary Jo (Dennis) Carlson was born in Maud, Oklahoma on December 9, 1935.  She died on June 14, 2022 at her home in Norman, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband, David Lee Carlson, Four children; Joe Loftis, Lea Ann Delaney, Lori Davis, and Lynn Loftis, ten grandchildren; Becky Elliott, Beth Clark, Joe Brent Dennis, Sammy Loftis, Amber Loftis, Max Loftis, Clint Davis, Morgan Davis, Jake Loftis, and Jesse Loftis, Nine great-grandchildren; and her brother; Jack Dennis and his wife, Virginia.  She is preceded in death by one son, Tom Loftis.

Mary Jo spent her work career as a Registered Nurse in Management positions with several years teaching management skills for the Federal Aviation Administration.

After her retirement she spent many hours crocheting throws and small blankets which were donated to homeless shelters, children's hospitals, and retirement centers.

Private family services were held.
