Obituary

Marty Andrew Nall passed away at his home in Holdenville on Saturday night, July 8, 2017, at the age of 51 years.

Marty was the son of Harold Lloyd Nall Sr. & Betty Sue (Orr) Nall, born on September 26, 1965, in McAlester, Oklahoma. His early childhood years were spent in Calvin until his family moved to Holdenville when Marty was in the fifth grade. He was active in FFA and Baseball, a game he loved from childhood. He graduated Holdenville High School with the Class of 1984, and went to live in St. Louis, Missouri, where he worked building bridges and asbestos removal. After fifteen years, he returned to Holdenville. He married Deborah Doughty on June 28, 2004, in Van Buren, Arkansas. They made their home in Holdenville, and Marty worked in the oilfield until his battle with cancer cause his health to fail and he was forced to retire.

Marty was friendly and fun-loving, with many and varied interests and hobbies. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, collecting antiques and hunting for arrowheads, and his favorite thing was being out on the open road on his Honda 750 Nighthawk. He loved making rings out of silver spoons, and found two of a kind with a beautiful design that he made into a matching wedding set for himself and his wife. He loved life, he loved people, he loved having fun. Marty loved kids and kids loved Marty, and you could be sure that almost anywhere Marty happened to be, a group of kids would show up and hang around a while. He was taken much too soon, but he will be forever loved and remembered.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Nall Sr.; his brother, Harold Nall Jr., and his sister, Carolyn Blaylock.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie, of the home; his daughter, Kelly Nall of High Ridge MO, and his mother, Sue Nall of Holdenville; his stepdaughter, Gina Mullin and husband Chad, of Bethany, and their children, Markus Mullin and Merrick Mullin; his stepson, Justin Flowers of Springfield MO and his daughter, Gracie Flowers; his nephew, Rath Pryor and wife April, of Horntown, and their children: Hailey, Riley, and Rohby; his niece, Kendra Blaylock and her fiancé, Boone Griffin of Horntown and their daughter, Jaylee Griffin; two special friends who were like brothers to him, Bobby Dilbeck and Brett Howell; his two Chihuahua dogs, Spanky and Bonnie; various other family members, and many, many friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 14, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at the Calvin High School Auditorium, and Marty was laid to rest at Calvin Cemetery with Mr. Ron Hunter and Rev. Kevin Fisher officiating. Pallbearers were Bobby Dilbeck, Brett Howell, Mike Hamilton, Randy Parks, Jeff Ledbetter, and Billy Gene Nall. Honorary pallbearers were Trey Dilbeck, Cory Martin, Chad Mullin, Markus Mullin, Paul Lindley, and Robbie Armstrong.
