Mark Deward Gann passed away at his home in Lamar, Oklahoma on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the age of 64 years.
Mark is the son of Virgil & Billye (Baldwin) Gann, born on April 25, 1959 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was brought up in Lamar and graduated Moss High School with the Class of 1977. He worked in pipelining and the oil field and also owned and operated the Lamar Café, Main Street Bar, and Fuzzy's Bar in Holdenville. Some of his favorite things were playing pool and trying his luck in the casinos. He played basketball in school and always enjoyed sports. He loved the outdoors, especially with his kids, riding dirt bikes, fishing, doing the float trip on the Illinois River, and camping on the South Canadian River. He will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil & Billye Gann, and one son, Jason Gann.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jon & Lacey Gann, of Piedmont OK; two grandchildren, Charli and Emmy; two brothers, J. R. Gann and wife Robin, and Keith Gann, all of Horntown, and one sister, Sheila Singer of Ada; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Graveside memorial services were held on Monday, April 22, 2024, 1:00pm at the Lamar Cemetery Pavilion.
