Mark David Foster passed away at his home in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 60 years.
Mark is the son of Larry D. Foster & Naomi (Letka) Foster, born on April 20, 1964, in Wetumka, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in the Holdenville and Shawnee areas, and graduated Moss High School with the Class of 1982. He joined the U.S. Marines following graduation, and returned home to work in construction, mainly concrete. Health issues forced him to take off work in February of this year. He was a fan of OU sports, particularly football, and he enjoyed playing football with his nephew. He enjoyed camping. His very favorite thing was fishing, he absolutely loved to fish.
Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents, Porter & Ora Letka.
He is survived by his mother, Naomi Scheuerman of Choctaw; his sister, Teresa Foster of Choctaw; two nephews, Matthew Foster (Summer) and Porter Oliver, both of Choctaw; great-niece Brayleigh Foster and great-nephew Owen Foster; his father, Larry Foster of Holdenville; special cousin, Eric Morrow (Kim) of Meeker; other family members and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 7, 2024, 1:00pm at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, and Mark was laid to rest at Cedar River Cemetery, with Rev. Ed Bear and Mr. Robert King officiating. Pallbearers were Bobby Letka, Shane Morrow, Roman Letka, Travis Morrow, Henry Harper, and Jason Skillern.
Wake services were held Sunday, October 6, 6:00pm at Lillye Chapel.
