Mark Lee
Davis
December 28, 1964 – March 17, 2025
Mark Lee Davis passed away at his home in Ada, Oklahoma on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the age of sixty years. He has been a resident of Ada since 2008.
Mark is the son of Merle Davis & Dora Chotkey, born on December 28, 1964, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Oklahoma City, and graduated U. S. Grant High School with the Class of 1983. He was baptized in 1992 at Victory Baptist Church. He married Carolyn Walters in 2015, and they made their home in Ada.
In his younger years, Mark loved listening to Gospel music. He enjoyed cooking, joyriding on his motorcycle, and joking around with his son-in-law. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He often took them camping and loved watching them swim. He loved cooking for them, especially his famous grilled cheese sandwiches. They loved playing all kinds of board games together. He would ask the kids what game they wanted to play and when he lost the game he would always say, "Y'all cheated!" He taught them life skills too, things like working on cars and how to change tires. He would have Bible study at home and teach them about God. He was devoted to all his grandchildren and was very happy that he was soon going to become Great-grandpa.
Mark is survived by his wife, Carolyn Davis, of the home; his son, Zack Davis (Lynn) of Stilwell; two daughters, Marcella Hernandez Rodriguez (Audentino) of Ada, and Celesta Walters of Wewoka; nine grandchildren: Belen, Silas, Bayle, Asa, Gabriela, Angela, Zephery, Jesus, and Daysha; one great-grandchild on the way; his children from previous marriage: Christopher Davis, Marketta Davis, Talina Davis, and Jasmine Davis, all of Oklahoma City; three brothers: Robert Davis of Oklahoma City, Bobby Davis of Seminole, and Choya Davis (Katie) of Seminole; three sisters: Colleen Toney (Mike) of Little Axe, Leslie Kaniatobe of Norman, JoAnn Tiger (Amos) of Holdenville; mother-in-law and father-in-law Lizzie & Harold Haynes of Holdenville; special family: GoGo and family came around to visit with him; Donna Blanchard and family they met at church and became family to him; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle Davis & Dora Chotkey; one brother, James Davis, and two sisters, Marietta Davis and Deanna Davis; one son, Zephaniah Davis.
