Malinda Yvonne (Grizzle) Lindley passed away at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the age of 46 years.
Malinda was the daughter of Tommy Dean & Debra (Gentry) Grizzle, born on June 30, 1967, in Riverside, California. She was brought up and attended schools both in Holdenville and in Riverside. She has made her home in Holdenville since the late 1980s, and worked for Wakely's, Wrangler and Solo Cup, as well as in her own business cleaning houses.
Malinda loved her family, loved spending time with them all, and raising her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her friends, and never met a stranger. She liked to have fun, and was always the life of the party. She will be sorely missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Leroy Grizzle, and her father, Tommy Dean Grizzle; a baby daughter, Hailey Nicole Elizabeth Grizzle, in 2007; a grandson, Kayden Paul Anthony Jeremiah Lindley, in 2012.
She is survived by seven children: Paul Lindley (Loriann Moura) of Noel, Missouri, Desire' Lindley (Chance Wallace), Jessica Lindley (Coty Ford), all of Ada, Destiny Green (Talacen Holt) of Pampa, Texas, Austin Green and Debra Green, both of Noel, Missouri, and Christopher Findley of Wewoka; a niece and nephew raised as a daughter and son, Nicole Grizzle of Holdenville and Josh Grizzle of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, and one on the way; her mother, Debra Grizzle and grandmother, Betty Grizzle, both of Holdenville; two brothers, Tommy Grizzle and Jason Grizzle, and three sisters: Kim Grizzle, Twila Grizzle, and Tammy Payne, all of Holdenville; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 19, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Refuge in Holdenville and Malinda will be laid to rest in the Yeager Cemetery at Yeager, Oklahoma. Rev. Jimmie Freeman is the officiating minister. Pallbearers are Paul Lindley, Jason Grizzle, Billy Climer, Talacen Holt, Chance Wallace, Josh Dean Grizzle, and Austin Green.
