Lucretia Juanita 'Pat' Earnest passed away at Heritage Village Nursing Center in Holdenville on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the age of 89 years.
Pat was the daughter of Ben & Phoebe Austin, born on
May 5, 1921, in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was brought up in the Holdenville area and was a graduate of Holdenville High School. She was married to W. L. Bradley on December 3, 1989, in Holdenville. She later married Furman Earnest in April, 1989, and they made their home in Sasakwa.
Pat moved back to Holdenville when Mr. Earnest passed away in 1999. She worked for many years as a cook for the Queen Bee, which later became Bobbie's Family Restaurant, and retired in the late 1980s. She was creative and artistic and enjoyed sewing and quilting, but her favorite thing was crochet and she crocheted everything from doilies to dolls. She attended the Free Will Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben & Phoebe Austin; two husbands, W. L. Bradley and Furman Earnest; three brothers: Ben Austin, Charles Austin and Paul Austin.
She is survived by two children: Jean Cook and husband Mark, of Wewoka, Oklahoma and Bill Bradley of Holdenville; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 17, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel. Pat will be laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery.
