Louis Roy Woods passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the age of 89 years.

Louis was one of nineteen children, the son of William & Lona (Birdwell) Woods, born on November 26, 1932, in Fletcher, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in the Marlow area. He worked several years as a supervisor for Sylvester Construction Company in Holdenville, overseeing complex projects such as building dams and sewer plants. He owned and operated Woods Backhoe Service and he was a cattle rancher, keeping up both occupations until the day before his passing. When he wasn't working, his favorite pastime was working - maintaining his equipment, clearing brush, pulling weeds, he just loved to work.

Louis is preceded in death by his parents, William & Lona Woods; daughter Kay Lynn Stone, grandson Joshua Ybarra; several siblings.

He is survived by four daughters: Sharon Byas of Ada, Tina Whitley (Scott) of Enid, Stephanie Bryant of Arkansas, and Marsha Woods of Enid; nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; brother Ray Woods of Yeager; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

A memorial visitation was held at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
