Obituary

Lavone Lumpkin passed away in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Sunday evening, July 6, 2014, at the age of 73 years.

Lavone was the daughter of Roy Solomon & Myrtle (Brantley) Solomon, born on August 21, 1940, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in the Bartlesville area, and lived there employed as a waitress until 1970, when she moved to Holdenville. She worked several years at the Seamprufe manufacturing plant. She attended the Assembly of God Church. She was married in 1972 to Floyd Lumpkin.

One of Lavone's favorite things was going out to eat. She loved animals, all animals. She enjoyed raising goats, and even squirrels, and loved her numerous pets. She loved her family most of all. She will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Myrtle Solomon; two daughters, Becky Ainesworth and Pamela Lucas; one brother, Leroy Solomon.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Floyd, of the home; her son, Frank Lilly, of Cleveland, Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Lacretia James of Holdenville, Mike Ainesworth (Miranda) of Tecumseh, Beth Lucas and Stephanie (Brad) Pittman, all of Bartlesville, and Ravonda Lilly of Tulsa; eleven great grandchildren: Leelynnd, Xander, Alex, Coltyn, Kayden, Karsen, Khloey, Destani, Dakoda, Drilyn, and Vanessa; one brother, Lawrence Solomon of Choctaw, and one sister, Millie Solomon of Bartlesville; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 9, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Holdenville, and Lavone will be laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery. Rev. Dean Greimann is the officiating minister.
