Larry Arnold Ervin passed away at his home in Holdenville on Friday, August 18, 2023, at the age of 70 years.

Larry was the son of Coy & Myrtle (Hayes) Ervin, born on October 6, 1952, in Oildale, California. He was brought up in Madera, California and lived there until he moved in 2010 to live with his sister in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Larry was a member of the Holdenville Church of the Nazarene, where he served as an Usher. Some of his favorite things were coloring and collecting cans. He loved animals. He was outgoing and friendly, and he loved walking around town visiting with people and praying for them. Before his health failed Larry was often seen strolling along Main Street, enjoying the outdoors and greeting people he met. He will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Coy & Myrtle Ervin; brother Leon Ervin, and brother-in-law Richard Nunes.

He is survived by one brother, Tommy Helt of Hydro, and one sister, Grace Nunes of the home; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, 2:00pm at the Holdenville Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Dane Robinson officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Douglas Ervin, Richard J. Nunes, Michael Nunes, Tim Wood, Roger Nunes, Ronnie Caudill, Jacob Caudill, and Chris Beck.
