Larry Gene Bruce was born on July 12, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Dewey & Dessie Bruce. He was brought up and graduated high school in Oklahoma City.

He worked at various jobs, including owning and operating his own trucking company. He last worked four years as a Deputy Sheriff for Oklahoma County, retiring in 2006.

He married Donna Kay Boren on February 14, 2004, in Oklahoma City, and they made their home in Seminole.

Larry loved to hunt, fish, and garden. He was an active member of the Wewoka First Assembly of God Church. The Lord took him home on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at the age of 68 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey & Dessie Bruce, and one brother, Travis Bruce.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, of the home; one son, Terry Bruce, and two grandchildren, Brandon Bruce and Dillion Bruce, all of Oklahoma City; one brother, Roger Anderson of Mississippi; two stepsons, Barry Browder of Florida and Bryan Browder and wife Michell, of Illinois; two step grandchildren, Sydney Browder and Zachary Browder; various other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Wewoka First Assembly of God Church, and Larry will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, with Rev. Perry Justus officiating.
