Lana Kay (Turner) Gaines passed away in Holdenville on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at the age of 62 years.

Lana was the daughter of Harry & Wanda Faye (Myers) Turner, born on July 8, 1954, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville, and was a 1971 graduate of Holdenville High School.

Her favorite thing was spending time at the lake, camping, fishing, and throwing horseshoes. She enjoyed listening to music, especially by Kenny Milam. Her family was the joy of her life, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harry Turner; maternal grandparents James & Lula Faye Myers; husband Jerry Gaines; sister Donna Kay Turner.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Foster (Karen) and Robby Elliott, all of Holdenville; four grandchildren: Kaity Foster, Cooper Elliott, Shaylynn Elliott, and Carter Elliott; her mother and stepfather, Wanda Faye & Tommy Chancellor of Holdenville; her sister, Lynn Foster (Donald) of Newalla, and her brother, Jim Turner (Tammi) of Holdenville; two stepsisters, Anita Chancellor Pointer of Holdenville and Annette Epperley of Atwood, and one stepbrother, Danny Chancellor of Holdenville; her aunt, Sue Slater of Horntown; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, 1:30 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel with Rev. John Roberts officiating. Pallbearers were Don Merriman, Ross Turner, Donnie Foster, Kenny Milam, Cody Slater, and Marshall Gaines. Honorary pallbearers were Cooper Elliott, Ken Austin, Curtis Tollett, and Rick Evans. Lana was laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery.
