Kristy Lashbrook, 49, of Holdenville Oklahoma, was born on July 9, 1973 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Bill and Charlotte (Hamilton) Nall. She won her final war with pain on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family after a brief battle with cancer.

Kristy was raised and graduated from Holdenville High School, Class of 1991. After high school Kristy spent time working various jobs in and around Holdenville. It was at the age of 32 that Kristy would earn her certificate as an EMT from Gordon Cooper Technology Center and find her calling in life. She started her career with Hughes County EMS in 2006. With encouragement she would go back to Gordon Cooper to receive her certificate as paramedic in 2007, passing the course with ease.

She had a natural gift and calling for serving and caring for people. In 2010, she took over the reigns as the EMS Director being named Hughes county's youngest and first female director. Kristy was community minded and truly cared about serving all of the communities within her district. She took great pride in being fiscally responsible and making the most of taxpayer monies. Through the passage of bond issues, she transformed Hughes County EMS to a superior level of service for the citizens. Her legacy and impact will be unmatched.

In 2015, Kristy received the highest recognition available to an Oklahoma EMS professional - the Star of Life Award from the Oklahoma Ambulance Association. Kristy served with FEMA on two hurricane deployments, she has received 3 childbirth awards and has numerous code saves.Kristy would marry her best friend and soul mate David Lashbrook on March 31, 2018, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Together they enjoyed remodeling their home, taking care of their pets, watching the birds in the back yard, cheering on Michigan Football, and cheap draft beer and habanero wings from Buffalo Wild Wings.

Kristy was known for being an amazing cook. She enjoyed crafting and painting. She loved to decorate her home for the holidays, especially with her Christmas trees and countless Santa Clauses. Kristy's final request and advice to her family and friends was, "Please don't be angry and mad at God."
