Kristina Hope McKitrick passed away at her home in Quinton, Oklahoma on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at the age of 53 years.

Kristina was the daughter of Burl & Faye (Elliott) Jay, born on August 4, 1966, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in Wewoka, and graduated Wewoka High School with the Class of 1984.

She was married to Arden R. McKitrick at Five Mile Corner in Wewoka on January 8, 1983. They lived for many years in western Oklahoma, while Arden worked in construction, and Kristina loved traveling with him to various locations. They have made their home in Quinton for the past 2-1/2 years. They were happily married just two months shy of 37 years.

Kristina's favorite things were gardening, especially growing flowers, and crafts. She loved feeding hummingbirds and squirrels. Her family was the joy of her life.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Faye Jay; one niece, Megan Watts; two brothers-in-law, Robert McKitrick and Clay McKitrick.

She is survived by her husband, Arden McKitrick, of the home; three daughters: Tabitha West (Andrew) of Elmore City, Christina Odell (Brad) of Savanna, and Audria Watkins (Sam) of Healdton; ten grandchildren: Tyler, Haiden, Morgan, Hailey, Dawson, Samantha, Shelby, Nathina, Nathan, Zoey, and one grandson on the way; one sister, Teresa Watts (Joe) of Seminole, and one brother, Clifton Jay (Rue) of Konawa; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, and Kristina was laid to rest at Crossroads Cemetery north of Calvin. Rev. Joe Lunsford was the officiating minister. Pallbearers were Andrew West, Brad Odell, Tyler West, Kirby Kilgore, Joe Watts, and Danny Greenland. Honorary pallbearers were Haiden West and Braden Watts.
