Kevin Christopher Payne passed from this life Tuesday afternoon, February 19, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 47 years.
Kevin was born on August 19, 1965 in Dallas, Texas and was adopted by Max and Charlotte Payne. He grew up traveling all over the United States as an Army brat, joined the US Army for himself at the age of 17 years, and served his country honorably. After his military service he began a 22-year occupation as a truck driver, the last 19 years hauling cattle.
He married Tracie Neubauer on August 18, 2007 in Iowa. With the nature of the cattle hauling business they have lived in various places, and have made their home in the Wetumka area for the past year and a half.
Kevin loved cattle, goats, chickens and any other farm/ranch animal. He enjoyed any farming or ranching activity, along with shooting guns. He loved to worship and praise God, especially at the Texas Banner Church of God. Spending time with his kids was his favorite and most cherished thing. His departure from this life was unexpected and all too soon. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Tracie, of the home; five children: Amber of Phoenix, Arizona, Kennith, Sebastian, Kevin Jr. and Helen, all of the home; his parents, Max and Charlotte Payne of Kansas; his birth mother, Doris Tennell of Texas; four brothers: Gary, Tracey, Rob, and Billy Don; two sisters, Natalie and Kelly; numerous other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at the Texas Banner Church of God, with Rev. Joe Lunsford officiating.
