Kevin W. 'Bear' King Jr. passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the age of 31 years.
Bear was the son of Kevin W. King Sr. & Katherine Tilley, born on September 17, 1984, in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville, where he was active in sports. He loved to fish and play video games. He had earned his GED and planned to begin college courses in the Fall.
He is preceded in death by two grandfathers, Robert King Sr. and Jimmy Harjo; one aunt, Tammy King.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin King of Holdenville and Katherine Tilley of Henryetta; paternal grandmother, Matilda King, and maternal grandmother, Martha Beck, both of Holdenville; one sister, Kari King of Henryetta; three nephews: Ayden Jones, Adrian Jones, and Aziah King; one aunt, Denise Franks, and one uncle, Robert King Jr., both of Holdenville; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 18, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at the Wewoka United Indian Methodist Church, and Bear will be laid to rest there in the church cemetery. Rev. Frank Moppin and Rev. Ed Bear are the officiating ministers. Pallbearers are Jon Lowe, Jon Moppin, Cody Keesee, Patrick Randall, Tony Long, Shan Moore, and Danny Moore. Honorary pallbearers are Ayden Jones, Adrian Jones, Aziah King, Javen Factor, Thorsten King, Kaisen Franks, Aaron King, Eric Factor, Justin Franks, Gabriel Story, and Kamryn Roberts.
There will be two wake services: Monday, May 16, 7:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, and Tuesday, May 17, 7:00 p.m. at Wewoka United Indian Methodist Church.
