Obituary

Kenneth R. Brown passed away in Oklahoma City on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at the age of 54 years.

Kenneth was the son of Robert Joe Brown & Lorene (Dunn) Brown, born on September 16, 1958, in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in the Kellyville area. He remained in Kellyville and worked for the Prescor Company and for Creek Nation Bingo in Tulsa until 1987, when he moved to Wewoka, where he was employed by the Commercial Brick Corporation for 18 years until health issues forced him to retire.

Kenneth's favorite thing was 'cruising', just riding around in his car. He loved basketball and softball, and was an avid fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Washington Redskins. He enjoyed 'seek & find' puzzles. He was a member of Salt Creek United Methodist Church in Holdenville, and a member of Polecat Euchee Ceremonial Grounds in Kellyville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Lorene Brown; four brothers: Billy Brown, Larry Brown, Ricky Brown, and Bobby Brown; two sisters, Barbara Fox and Peggy Brown.

He is survived by his companion, Angie Green, of the home; six children: Billy Brown of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Daniel Brown and wife Aliza of Tahoulah, Washington, Tara Brown of Sapulpa, Megan Stone of Claremore, Kimberley Brown and husband Pedro of Holdenville, and Katherine Brown and companion Isaias Rodriguez of Holdenville; twelve grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Louis & Jane Brown of Kellyville; one sister, Judy Bruner and companion Jim Fife, also of Kellyville; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 14, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at Salt Creek United Methodist Church, and Kenneth will be laid to rest in the Harjo Family Cemetery north of Holdenville. Rev. Paul Fixico and Rev. Nelson 'Scotty' Harjo are the officiating ministers.

Wake service will be held on Saturday evening, January 12, 7:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel,

Kenneth will be transported to Salt Creek United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 13, at 4:00 p.m.
