Obituary

Kay Elliott passed from this life on June 20, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years.  She was born to Don and Betty (Mooney) Elliott January 20, 1961 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Kay's family moved around, so she lived in various places including New Mexico, Missouri, California, and Oklahoma.  She graduated from High School in Hobbs, New Mexico with the class of 1978.  She married Jim Henson and they had two children.  She lived in Hobbs for ten years and then moved to Oklahoma, living in Holdenville the last 30 years.

She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.  Family time and activities were always the most important thing to her.  Kay enjoyed riding around and would give anyone a ride that was in need.  She was a giving person and her family and friend's savior, always there to help.  Kay attended the Atwood Baptist Church and she gave her life to Jesus about twelve years ago and that changed her life.  She has lived with her grandson the past three years or so, taking care of her great grandkids.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Betty Elliott; brother Robert Elliott; sister-in-law Dodi Elliott; cousin Eric Stephens; David Evans whom she "adopted" as her son.

She is Survived by two children, Alishia Stapp (Adam) and Nicky Henson (Terri) both of Seminole, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister Diana Hanson of Holdenville, Oklahoma; two special friends, Mary Ann Marlow and Tina Harmon; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends including a host of kids she claimed as her own.

Memorial Services were held Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Fisher Funeral Home Lillye Chapel with Rev. Dane Robinson officiating.
