Judy Ann Medler, daughter of Homer & Leona Marie (Wood) Medler, was born on January 7, 1954 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Judy passed away in Holdenville on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the age of 58 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer & Leona Medler; her brother, Howard Medler, her sister, ElDoris Medler, and a special friend, Tim Byrd.
Judy accepted the Lord as a teenager at Lamar Baptist Church. She graduated Lamar 8th grade in 1968, and Moss High School in 1972. She lived for a time in California and Texas, but lived most of her life in and around Lamar. She worked for several years as a Central Control Officer for the CCA Earl Davis Correctional Facility in Holdenville. She spent her life working and enjoying life, and particularly enjoyed playing Bingo.
Judy is survived by two sisters, Jolene Landry of Wewoka, and Billye Gann and husband Virgil, of Horntorn; one brother, Phil Medler and wife Carol, of LaFeria, Texas; many other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held at Lamar Baptist Church, 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, with Rev. Tony Chesser & Rev. Marla Chesser officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Yuvette Enos, Barbara Blair, Johnnie Trapp, and Odell Pack.
