Judy (Adair) Cantrell passed away in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the age of 80 years.

Judy is the daughter of Marvin & Dixie Jo (Stelter) Adair, born on July 26, 1946, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She moved to Tonkawa, Oklahoma at age 17, graduated Tonkawa High School and enrolled in beauty school. While in Tonkawa she met Loyd Cantrell, her future husband, best friend, and the love of her life. They became parents to Mylissa and Kevin. Loyd & Judy were truly soul mates devoted to each other, inseparable, sharing everything together, and one was rarely seen without the other. On August 8, 2026, they celebrated 60 years together.

Judy loved arts and crafts of all kinds and was always eager to try something new. She enjoyed being creative, and especially enjoyed doing various crafts together with her mother, Dixie Jo Adair. She moved from Ponca City to Norman four years ago to help care for her mother. For the past three years she has enjoyed the company of their great-grandson, Billy Leonard, who has been especially supportive in taking care of Judy & Loyd.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Loyd Cantrell; two children: daughter Mylissa Call (Dennis) of Ark City KS, and son Kevin (Charity) of Houston TX; grandchildren: Mindy Barr and her children, Landon, Eli, Bennett, and Theodore; Andrea Donati and her children, Billy, Aiden, and Leonard; Erica Wheeler, Kayla Dykes, Amanda Bannister, Bowie Call, Tanner Cantrell, Madison Wichert and her son, Myles, Connor Cantrell and his children, Kinley and Cason, Cole Reed, Peyton Reed and her son Rowan; her mainstay great-grandson Billy Leonard; siblings: sister Pat Whitehead of Summerville AL, brother Tommy Adair (Evelyn) of Greenwood AR, Rick Adair (Sheri) of Celeste TX, Gail Heald (Ken) of Norman; other family members and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin & Dixie Jo Adair.

Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, October 20, 2026, 2:00pm at Holdenville Cemetery Chapel. Pallbearers are Conner Cantrell, Tanner Cantrell, Tate Wichert, Eli Arnswald, Billy Leonard, and Landon Vaden.

Viewing will be from 1-2pm prior to the service at Holdenville Cemetery Chapel.
