Josephine King, born Josephine Archambeau, passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 59. She was born on September 23, 1966, in Tulsa and passed away in Tishomingo.
Josephine was a woman who brought joy wherever she went. She never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Known as the life of every party, she could create laughter, love, and celebration in any room she entered. Her warmth, humor, and unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was extraordinarily proud of her 42-year marriage to the love of her life, Bobby King. Together they built a family that she cherished beyond measure. Josephine was also immensely proud of her three sons, all of whom honorably served their country in the United States military through the US Navy, US Air Force, and US Marine Corps.
Josephine is survived by her devoted husband, Bobby King of Tishomingo; her sons Shelby King and wife Amanda King of San Antonio, Trenton King and wife Nicole King of San Diego, and Anthony King and wife Brittany King of Yukon; her beloved grandchildren Avery King, Arianna King, Wyatt King, and Mason King; her brothers Roland Archambeau and wife Donna of Tulsa, and Jerome Archambeau and wife Lisa Archambeau of Tulsa; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Ceceilia Archambeau; her grandmother, Gladys Archambo; her father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Nomah King; and her brother-in-law, Darren King.
A viewing will be held at Fisher Funeral Home in Holdenville on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 1:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Atwood Cemetery.
Her family and friends will forever remember her vibrant spirit, her fierce love for her family, and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone around her.
