Obituary

Josephine, better known as "Jo" was born to James and Bessie (Presha) Daniels on September 24, 1939, in Littleton, New Hampshire. Jo attended school in her hometown of West Memphis, Arkansas, where she graduated in 1956.

Jo was united in marriage to Lester Conkleton on February 18, 1958 in West Memphis, Arkansas. They moved a lot early in their marriage due to Lester's occupation, and enjoyed the different parts of the states where they lived and the friends that they made. They settled in Holdenville, Oklahoma in 1974, where they purchased their first home and lived until 2007, at which time they moved to Edmond, Oklahoma to be closer to their daughter and her family.

Jo loved her husband, daughter and grandchildren. When you saw Jo, you saw her out in the yard planting or caring for her beloved flower gardens. If she wasn't there, she would be with the grandkids making memories. She enjoyed each holiday, and the house, yard or both would be decorated to the fullest.

Jo leaves to cherish her memory: her husband Lester 'Dude' of the home; her daughter Leslie and son-in-law Elmer Bruner Jr. of Edmond; grandson Elmer Bruner III, granddaughter Uriah, and grandson Elden, all of Edmond.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel.
